Wagamama Cafe: New Chill out place in San Pedro Laguna

Frankly, I am so hard to please when it comes to coffee places. Most establishments lately thought that having nice and instagrammable interiors will satisfy customers but it should still be the food and drinks that you serve which will make or break a restaurant or cafe.

An honest review of this chllout cafe located in Pacita, Laguna.  I’m not really the type to sugarcoat things just because I was invited for a food review. I believe that having honest opinions and suggestions can help a business improve.

The owner told us that the cafe is a sort of Harry Potter-themed. You may notice the wallpapers designed with books that looks quiet similar to the Hogwarts School or whatever.

But contrary to the theme, she named the coffee shop Wagamama meaning “self-centered” in Japanese language. Part of the cafe has a touch of Japanese in it, with white walls, white tables and chairs. I don’t know why she made the restaurant Harry Potter themed and in my opinion, it just confuses the whole interior of the cafe.

The Japanese side of the cafe

There’s a loft with a low table in the middle where you can drink your coffee and sit on the floor.

Carbonara

Dark Chocolate and Milk Chocolate Shakes

They offer light snacks like melted cheese fries

Nachos

Their In-house Ramen

Simple steak to order when you feel like wanting a heavy lunch.

MY THOUGHTS:

It’s a place for the  crowd of millennials. Students would enjoy the ambiance. The owner said that’s what they mostly cater to. I don’t like how their staff isn’t well-trained when it comes to customer service. We waited for how many hours and we weren’t even asked if we need anything, like  drinks while waiting or something. Food was okay (basic ingredients with basic taste) and too pricey for such quality of food. Again, it’s not just about the interior. You’re  paying for the food, not for the photos you’ll be taking inside.  Besides, if you frequent coffee shops in Metro Manila,  this would be considered a rip-off for such basic food

Where can you find this place? They are located along Pacita Drive in Pacita, San Pedro Laguna.

Check out this New York Fire station-inspired pizza place in the South: Firehouse Pizza

What is actually the difference between a pizza baked on a regular oven and a pizza baked in wood fire brick ovens? I have tried several commercial pizzas and they all taste your regular go-to pizzas during Sundays.  Brick oven pizzas have that unique smoky taste and crisp. The radiant heat from the fire and the heat bouncing off the inside walls of the oven crisps the outside of the pizza very quickly. A really good pizza is made in this environment.

Situated at Crimson Hotel Alabang, a newly built pizza place offers brick-oven pizzas New York style! With its Firehouse-themed inspired interiors and industrial designs, young millennials and even Gen Zs would surely love taking photos inside this new cool hangout in the South.

A nice spacious booth for a group of 4 to 5.

I had this for take-away!

Brick oven pizzas are getting popular in the Philippines. When you feel like eating thin-crust pizzas, I’d recommend opting for brick oven-cooked ones. You’d see the difference once you’ve tasted it. For some people, they leave the crust behind on their plates but for Fireplace pizzas,  there was nothing left over!

All scraped clean.

A Healthy Bread for Those Who Want a Healthy Lifestyle

I can live without rice but I can’t live without breads!  I remembered when I was in Armenia, my breakfast, lunch, and dinner consists of mostly just meat and breads since rice isn’t an option.  For us Asians, the majority can’t survive without eating rice but for other countries, bread is usually the base of the meal. Here in the Philippines, we eat bread mostly for breakfast, snacks or tea time.  I have never tried gluten-free breads so good thing that Hearty Breads sent some goodies for me to review.

People are now becoming more health-conscious and companies and brands are coming up [with foods that are totally healthy and guilt-free. I used to be a vegetarian but was hospitalized due to a lack of protein. I guess the protein intake isn’t enough for my lifestyle back then. Currently, I am trying to minimize eating fatty and salty foods to lower the risk of being hospitalized again.  Part of my usual routine of breakfast is eating a healthy bread paired with my nice cup of coffee. Just in time, Hearty Bread made our mornings complete with their healthy selections of gluten-free breads.

Hearty Bread Brand Story

A special type of diet usually arises from a health condition or a call for a healthier lifestyle. Having to adapt to a new diet is hard enough especially if this is accompanied with medicines in the case of those who have diabetes, cancer, renal failures and other diseases that calls for Low-Carbohydrate/ Sugar-Free diet.

Diabetic Cases

The Philippines is considered one of the diabetes “hot spots” in the Western Pacific region. It is estimated that 1 out of 5 Filipinos are diabetic. This statistic is very alarming and calls for attention of the general public. Several cause-oriented group has already started campaigns to spread awareness in the hope to help hinder the growth.

It was noted that unhealthy lifestyle habits of Filipinos is the main cause of diabetes. This was also tackled by World Health Organization and they also included sedentary lifestyles as major lifestyle risk factors, stating that 1 in 3 is overweight and 1 in 10 is obese.

Obesity

Obesity cases is another red flag in the country. Those who consume excess of sugar and carbohydrate lead to accumulating that excess weight overtime. Per record, Philippines has estimated a staggering 18 million citizens who are either Obese or Overweight.

Cancer Cells feed on Sugar

To clarify, consuming sugar does not cause cancer. Studies have been conducted which proves that sugar essentially feeds tumors and encourages cancer growth. Hence, starving these cells from sugar may help cancer patients.

Given these health conditions, a group of young entrepreneurs have decided to develop bread alternatives for those whose dietary requirements needs special attention. Evan Dykimching and Vicson Ngo are the people behind Hearty Bread, Gluten-Free, Sugar-Free.

The company started out as suppliers for some of the major hospitals in the Metro. They cater to doctors and in-house patients with the conditions mentioned above. Evan recounts “When one of our family member got confined in the hospital, we were surprised that the price of our bread was quite high due to several administrative fees”

With the company’s desire to promote affordable and quality health, they created the brand “Hearty Bread” to make healthy breads readily available and affordable to the general public.

To give you an idea, if you are not familiar with the price of Gluten-Free/Sugar-Free market, other producers are selling at 500php to 600php per loaf. For most people, this price tag is very expensive.

Hearty Bread invested in research & development for 2 years in order to come up with bread that are double the size and sell them at half the price. Hearty Bread’s Almond Loaf line retails at only 180Php for the plain Almond Loaf while their Cheesy variants – Cheesy Charcoal and Cheesy Coffee are pegged at 250php/loaf.

They also have other products such as their Sourdough/Probiotic line which includes Malunggay Sourdough Pandesal which sells at 40php/6pcs, while their other Sourdough loaf sells at 115php. Hearty Bread’s Fruit loaves are also in demand, Banana Sourdough Loaf retails at 200php, Banoffee Walnut Sourdough Loaf, and Pumpkin Carrot Sourdough Loaf sells at 280php/ Loaf. These are all Gluten-Free/Sugar-free!

A lot of other products are in the pipeline and are being developed which gives those who are into this type of diet something to look forward to.

Evan also shares the secret to making their bread available at a very low price – “We can really lower the cost of our products since we produce them commercially in volume quantities. We also own the lot where our facilities operate so we don’t pay rent.”  He further explains “We make our bread affordable not to kill the market price but to make these healthy bread affordable and help those who are burdened, to begin with.

A restaurant that offers unlimited wagyu bulalo in Tagaytay: Jose Filipino Sizzling Seafood and Unlimited Wagyu Steak

South Girl discovers yet another bulalo place however, I am not a fan of bulalo. Tagaytay is famous for the beef shank soup with marrow served in clay pots.  Beef can be very annoying to eat, given the fact that it contains bundles of protein fibers. We can also consider that beef has a lot of fats and it usually shows up on the surface of the bulalo meat (it’s that white thing you see on the meat that hardens when the stew gets cold).  I am not saying that all bulalo can be very rubbery and greasy. It actually depends on the breed of cattle they are using for the meat. Most restaurants in Tagaytay breed local cows, and the tenderness and softness of the meat would all depend on in the way they cook it.

Located at Sky Ranch, Tagaytay,  Jose Filipino Sizzling Seafood and Unlimited Wagyu Steak serve unique Filipino dishes particularly their beef shank soup (bulalo) and their wagyu steak. They decided to use wagyu beef (from Japan) instead of the typical local beef bred in the Philippines.

The Food

One of my favorite seafood is the popular spicy Gambas!   A hint of spice but won’t sting your tongue.

Chicken Barbecue  (195 pesos) for chicken lovers!  It’s a must for every Filipino family. There won’t be any family out there who wouldn’t demand for chicken trust me!

Lechong Kawali

Sizzling Crispy Pata  in chili Garlic .

Not a fan of pork but if I’m gonna eat some, crispy pata is one of my pork indulgences

Kaldereta in Beef wagyu.

The meat is soft and easy to chew. I like the buttery taste of their kaldereta.

This sizzling seafood curry made me forget about the other pork dishes since I’m a sucker for seafood! IIts a seafood fiesta of mussels,  shrimps, and squids all thrown into a nice curry dish.

The famous Poqui Poqui is an Ilocano dish consisting of grilled eggplants and a few vegetables added to the mix. it may have just the basic ingredients but it has this delectable taste that can be quite addicting.  If you’re a vegetarian, I’d say go for this one. You may probably request for them to remove the meat if you wish.

An effort to do a flat lay for these wonderful dishes!  And oh, there’s the Bulalo I’m talking about!

A homey interior

If some of you are kind of looking for an Instagrammable area, this restaurant won’t disappoint you. Pose for your perfect dining moment with families and friends in their pretty dining seats and even the outside area is a good location for capturing your family moments.

This is a requirement!

Come visit  Jose Filipino Sizzling Seafood and Wagyu Steak here at Sky Ranch, Tagaytay. The restaurant is perfect for a Sunday family lunch out or dinner.

Craving for Filipino food? Try Cuesina at Festival Mall

For Filipino families, the typical Sunday is usually spent going to the church followed by a nice dinner at a restaurant. It has been a tradition. If you will be living in the Philippines, expect awesome and delicious food in all variations influenced by many countries. One thing to note is that Filipinos are all creative and most restaurants are cooking up ways to reinvent a totally boring dish into something unique and extraordinary so that customers would certainly remember it and would definitely come back for more spreading the typical word-of-mouth recommendation with their families and friends.

For my fellow South people living in the areas of Alabang or nearby, another Filipino restaurant is worth checking out for. If you are craving for everyday home-cooked meals without the ordinary taste of food consisting of basic ingredients, try dining with your family at Cuesina.

Cue from the root word Barbecue!!!!  Cuesina Garden Bistro is a combination of Filipino and Spanish food made for families that crave for meals worth shelling out for.

Being invited for another food review should scare me since I was hospitalized last 2017 for eating too much pork with the lack of fruits and vegetables in my system. I used to accept all invitations from restaurants and not really being careful of what I eat, fatty or non-fatty, I just don’t give a shit as long as I am enjoying the comfort of tasting food and writing about it.  Would you believe I was a vegetarian for a year after giving birth to my youngest daughter Savannah? But I had to switch back to eating meat since I was working before at a BPO and working at night requires more energy.  Anyways, here I am back on track and accepting food reviews once more but, with the wise move of being careful this time.

Let’s go check out the dishes served to us by the staff of Cuesina.

The manager welcoming us as she explained the dishes they will serve us and how its made etc.

THE DISHES SERVED

Beef Kare Kare

I only had one slice of the Beef Kare Kare since I am really not into the idea of peanut butter being served with meat. For me, peanut butter is made for a loaf of bread or for cookies or something.

Pork Belly Pritchon

Get ready for high blood pressure. This pork belly is so crunchy and not oily.

Pinaputok na Tilapia

This is always present during family dinners. One of my favorites.  I am a sucker for seafood and I’d choose fish over a Lechon.

Crispy Pata for meat lovers

Kagubatan good for 2-3 persons

Hanging Barbecue served with your favorite Filipino dips

Remember Fiesta Alamexo? They also served something like this but those were pork intestines. I guess this type of street food presentation is becoming a trend

Chase away that overwhelming meat after-taste with these refreshing drinks.

Comfort Food in the South: Tus Restaurant Review

Another restaurant to try out in the South located in Westgate Alabang, Tus Clay Pots and Skillets is a favorite go-to for quick comfort food without shelling out that much. The place feels so homey (I recommend you dine on their second floor.) You’ll see books all lined up in a shelf. You can enjoy eating while reading.  I salivated on all these books apart from the dishes that they served!

The restaurant was born out of a vision to provide a simple yet warm and comfortable dining experience for its customers. You’ll get the warmest of welcome and service and it is very evident once you stepped inside Tus Clay Pots and Skillets.  They only serve the heartiest and, healthiest dishes lovingly prepared and generously served which truly describes as your typical comfort food. Being at Tus’ is being with family! Tus’ is yours!. This is their famous slogan.

Our Story
Owners Chef Krsna and Kai have known each other for more than 2 decades as childhood friends and Tus’ is their greatest endeavor yet. Out of Chef Krsna’s passion and skills in cooking and Kai’s business acumen, Tus’ restaurant was born. Built on the foundation of their friendship, Tus’ grew into a family!

Our Vision
Our aim is to forever grow, improve, and build more wonderful moments to as many people as we can.

Our Mission
Our mission is to endlessly create happy memories through excellent food and exceptional service, with an experience of comfort, gratification, delight.

The restaurant interior (and plates and cutlery) are carefully designed and picked to fit the theme of the restaurant. It aims to recreate the atmosphere of a home with books lining up the shelf on the second floor with comfy seats.

Some vintage cameras lined the shelf along with frames and some old books.

The second floor is perfect for mini gatherings either for huge family dining or for meetings.

Welcome to my home!  It’s yours while you’re here.

The vibe at Tus is unpretentious and welcoming, and the food is comforting and put together in a way that suggests you’re eating at your home with grandmas’ cooking in some oddly satisfying and heartening way. We started off with their appetizers that satisfied my hunger right there and then.

Appetizers

Pork Belly Salad

The salad is an introductory teaser fulfilling enough given that there’s pork thrown into the mix.

Tasty Spinach Crunch chips sold for 160 PHP

The Spinach Crunch chips are handmade and organic.  I wasn’t expecting the taste was really addicting.

Gambas Al Ajillo

BLT Calzone

Bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, garlic cream sauce. Served with homemade aioli. 468

Served hot and fresh, the BLT Calzone will make you crave for more. The crust is soft and filling is thick that having a  half slice is enough to fill your tummy.

Wet Beef Burrito

Burrito rice with beef wrapped in a tortilla, lathered with tomato sauce,

Sizzling Chicken Melt

Cajun chicken fillet, onions and green bell peppers, corn, mozzarella cheese. Family! 390

4 cheese and bacon potpie

I had the most humongous helping of this dish that everything is totally forgotten. I had little helpings with the other food served to us. I am not too strategic when it comes to food tasting and sometimes, I am really impulsive when I see something really delicious, I wouldn’t think twice of loading heaps of the stuff on my plate.

Trio Meat Platter!

Ribs, Chicken Wings, Hungarian Sausage with a side of Potato Salad. For Sharing! – 1699

Vigan Longganisa w/ Egg

Spaghetti with sauteed vigan longganisa and green bellpeppers topped with fried egg. 320

Tribeca Mushroom w/ Truffle Oil pasta

Spaghetti with 3 types of mushrooms (porcini, button, shiitake) and truffle oil. 340

DESSERTS

Half baked Cookies ((P160 )comes in flavors chocolate, ube and cookies, and cream served with ice cream.

As usual, I always loom forward with desserts as my finale. This half baked cookie is such a unique treat and the sweetness isn’t overwhelming.

WILLKOMMEN ZUM OKTOBERFEST – THE BROTZEIT WAY!

It is once again that time of year to celebrate the biggest and much-awaited festival in Germany, and Brotzeit German Beer Bar & Restaurant is proud to bring the Oktoberfestivities right here in Manila!

Brotzeit kicks off the Oktoberfest celebration with a ceremonial Keg Tapping and media launch at the Shangri-la Plaza branch on September 12, 2019. The main highlight, which led by our distinguished guest, Ms. Christina Stieber of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, is the official keg tapping or pouring of the first Oktoberfest beer, an annual tradition in Munich. The tapping is accompanied by shouts of “O’zapft is“, which means the beer has been tapped. This marks the beginning of one of the world’s most loved festival.

From hoisting 11 steins of German beer, digging deep into crispy pork knuckle and chanting along to folksy Oompah songs together with joyful merry-makers, Brotzeit’s Oktoberfest parties have always been a fun and festive affair.

After five (6) years and some memorable Oktoberfest celebrations held at the various Brotzeit branches, this year’s celebration starts at the flagship store, Shangri-la Plaza Mall. On September 21, Brotzeit presents an exciting Oktoberfest celebration at the branch and a part of the Streetscape just outside Brotzeit. Headlining entertainment act is KUDOS LOVES EIGHTIES Band followed by DJ Agnes. The program will be hosted by none other than the charming and lovely Ms. Tina Ryan. In addition, any Oktoberfest party will not be complete without games and fun challenges that will make the festivities one of merriment and conviviality! Great prizes and premium

And to make the Oktoberfest 2019 extra fun, Brotzeit is flying in performers from Germany. Anton and the Funny Guys will provide not only musical entertainments but with unique show performances. They will entertain the Oktoberfest guests on October 3-4 at Brotzeit Shangri La Plaza Branch and on October 5-6 in Shangri La at The Fort BGC.

This year’s Oktoberfest is once again co – presented by our valued partners – Paulaner, Jägermeister, Sinalco and Weihenstephan

To bring more authenticity to the Oktoberfest celebrations, Brotzeit has brought in two (2) original festival brews: Weihenstephan Festbier a full, rich-bodied, seasonal lager, especially brewed for this season. This beer is known to represent the Bavarian way of celebrating. It is deep gold in color, with a great mouthfeel and has lots of flavor! Perfect to pair with numerous dishes on Brotzeit’s Oktoberfest menu. On the other hand, Paulaner Oktoberfestbier, which by its name tell us that it’s only brewed for the Oktoberfest.

This is 100% natural full-bodied Bavarian Marzen, with full rich malt flavors. Paulaner has been brewing this beer since 1818, representing centuries of brewing tradition in a stein.

Both of these featured beers are no exception to the German Beer Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot); which is a collective name for a series of regulations that limit the ingredients of beer in Germany. Little known fact: beers brewed following the German Beer Purity Law seldom or never cause hangovers as the water and other ingredients used are very pure.

Brotzeit’s kitchen has also been working overtime to prepare a fantastic Oktoberfest menu. Current star of the menu is the famous Oktoberfest Platter, which consists of Brotzeit’s signature oven roasted Pork Knuckle, Beer – infused Bavarian Honey Ribs, juicy whole Roasted Chicken, One – meter long Paprika Cheese Sausage served with Spicy Potato Wedges and Sauerkraut. There are also a number of delectable dishes which will be served in all branches of Brotzeit from September 12 to October 31st that perfectly represent the Oktoberfest season in Germany and go very well with the featured beers for this celebration.

Oktoberfest is a period of conviviality, and the perfect time to get together with friends, colleagues and families. Guests will have plenty of opportunities to say “Prost” this year with our exclusive beers, menu specials and promotions.

A Fusion of Filipino and Spanish Food: Fiesta Alamexo

Reminisce the 90s Spanish telenovelas with this newly opened restaurant st the 6th floor East Wing of Shangrila Mall The owner (Sir Mat) thought of having this unique concept because we all know that Filipinos came from the Spanish descent and we naturally love anything Spanish and Mexican!

Fancy names like Kuboodle Y Chabelita, Curacha, and Corazon are just some of the dishes you can order. Corazon consists of grilled variations of fish and pork.

With my usual habit of not eating the whole day to prepare my tummy for some good food, I was ecstatic to try the fusion of Filipino and Spanish combined dishes of Fiesta Alamexo. . An appetizer of nachos and some fries finally silenced my noisy growling stomach.

Tower Nachos

Crunchy fries and dripping thick cheese slathered on top of the juicy Angus beef burger deserved to be rated 5 stars for its delectable taste.

Mexican Cheese Quesadilla-378php

This is what I always order whenever I eat at Mexican restaurants.  The Quesadillas didn’t disappoint!  Quesadillas are one of the few Mexican dishes essentially everyone loves. The spices and combination of cheese and diced tomatoes gave this famous Mexican food a quirky flavor. Wheat tortillas are cooked just right and are best eaten when served hot and fresh.

Kuboodle Y Chabelita-1,888php

You know that cute little girl Chabelita with pretty doe eyes and chubby cheeks? This dish was named after the famous little kid.  It is a combination of cream dory fish fillet, buttered shrimp, crab, scallop ceviche and chicken tamarind soup.  I only get to try the scallops and the shrimps since I still have a slice of that medium-rare steak teasingly taunting me.

Steak ala Familia

Ranchero Corned Beef Pizza-338Php

I’m a pizza lover and if you get to search my food blogs, I have a few pizza reviews somewhere in my archives. I can even gobble 5 slices in one sitting!, however, I’ need to make room for the other dishes. I’ll give their pizza a 4-star rating.

Cayenne  Pork Intestine-358php

The typical street food you see anywhere is also served here but trust me when I say this one is far from the ones you’ve tried outside where you’ll be hesitant to eat thinking it’s “dirty”. This pork intestine is amazingly delicious and doesn’t have that smelly and weird after taste,  Choose from the selection of sauce that compliment with it.

Chicharong Bulaklak

Prepare for high blood pressure! Easy on this one but let me warn you, it’s totally tempting!

DRINKS AND DESSERTS

Strawberry Curacha

Guacamole Pamela Fiesta Curacha

Coconut cheesecake

The Coconut Cheesecake is perfectly paired with Kapeng Barako.

Fiesta Mango Sticky Rice -248php

Literally sticky but won’t stick in your teeth.

Buko Salad Cooler-158php and Mexican Cold Chocolate

Thanks to Fiesta Alamexo for the invitation and to  Mr. Miguel l Dela Rosa of Mplify Ph. Check out Fiesta Alamexo located at the 6th floor, East Wing of Shangrila Mall Ortigas.

Pillow Talks With Mr. Big Pillow

I was never picky when buying a pillow. As long as it is soft and has that comfortable feel on my head,  it should be good to go. However, what we don’t realize is that a pillow can be the solution to some of our discomforts when sleeping. Say, if you often get stiff necks after waking up, it could be that your pillow is too elevated.  Or what if you often hear your partner snore, and you are bugged by this every time you sleep, a pillow can also be the solution for solving that problem.

I was invited last Friday to attend the launch of Mr Pillow at the SMX Convention Center. A Physical therapist gave a talk about how to avoid using the wrong pillow.

It’s nice when you get to learn something by attending events like this. Check out these pillows and it’s purpose.

You may think that sleeping is just a way to relieve you off your tiredness and a reprieve for a long day. Research shows that people tend to overlook the way they sleep. Having a bed and using just any type of pillow might not get you the quality of sleep you need.

There’s a myriad of choices when it comes to selecting a pillow but how do you choose the right pillow for your body type? An expert went out of his way to learn and develop a specialty pillow to address this concern.

Mr Chawakit Kaoien, founder of Mr Big Pillow is a physical therapist who spent years working in the ICU of a hospital’s respiratory unit and was in-charge of bedridden critical care patients and see to it that they are kept comfortable and could breathe properly. This led him to develop a brand of pillows that would benefit every individual.

Over the years, Chawakit hacked the right density of pillows as well as its best position to address your sleeping concerns. Every individual is different, thus, we cannot conform to just one type of pillow.

Here are the cause and effect of using the wrong pillow:

  1. You might think that waking up on the wrong side of the bed caused you that neck pain, wrong! Using incorrect pillow puts a strain in your neck, thus, causing that stiff and painful neck in the morning.
  2. Can’t sleep? Is it really because of your caffeine intake or you might think you develop a condition called insomnia? Think again, improper positioning and height of your pillow might be causing uneasiness that causes you to toss and turn throughout the night.
  3. If your partner complains about your snore, then it might be time to change your pillow. Snoring is usually caused by blockage of nasal passages. By improving your sleep position, you can also alleviate your snoring.
  4.  Consistent Headache. This is such a nasty way to start your day especially if you have that important meeting ahead. Your frequent headache might be caused by the wrong elevation of your pillow, tension headaches happen when your neck muscles are strained.
  5. Mental Block. Sleep deprivation causes forgetfulness and lack of creativity. Improve your brain function by using the right pillow that can get you a good night’s rest.

By using the appropriate pillow according to your height and weight as well as each individual’s condition, you can maintain a good quality of sleep and overall health.

ALTA Integrative Medicine and Wellness Complex Now Opens In PHMC

Healthcare in the Philippines is slowly transitioning to a more healthier and natural approach. Patients have grown tired of modern medicine wherein everything can be treated by just taking a pill or any type of prescribed drugs.  Sometimes, treatments can be really scary which often leads to surgery and such.  Modern medicine does not focus on teaching patients with lifestyle changes  but rather treating them once they’re ill.  We are used to this traditional mentality that when you’re sick, go to the doctor and he/she will fix you.

What is an Integrative medicine?

It is a medical practice that combines conventional  and non-traditional approach to help patients with not just curing the disease, but also preventing them with the help of a thorough consultation that usually takes about an hour. You will be asked by the integrative physician about your medical history, your lifestyle, your eating habits and if you are taking any medication or supplements. Th’s is to find out the root cause of the sickness.

The ALTA Integrative Medicine and Wellness Complex recognizes these
realities that a lot of people are facing.  The wellness complex offers a holistic range
of services that aim to empower patients with choices on how they can enhance
their over-all well-being. The thrust of Integrative Medicine is to provide patients
with conventional and complementary and alternative approaches that work
together and have shown high quality evidence-based effectiveness and safety
including natural products, mind and body practices and other complementary health approaches ((traditional healers, Ayurveda medicine, traditional Chinese medicine,
homeopathy, naturopathy, etc.)
