Another restaurant to try out in the South located in Westgate Alabang, Tus Clay Pots and Skillets is a favorite go-to for quick comfort food without shelling out that much. The place feels so homey (I recommend you dine on their second floor.) You’ll see books all lined up in a shelf. You can enjoy eating while reading. I salivated on all these books apart from the dishes that they served!

Owners Chef Krsna and Kai have known each other for more than 2 decades as childhood friends and Tus’ is their greatest endeavor yet. Out of Chef Krsna’s passion and skills in cooking and Kai’s business acumen, Tus’ restaurant was born. Built on the foundation of their friendship, Tus’ grew into a family!

The restaurant interior (and plates and cutlery) are carefully designed and picked to fit the theme of the restaurant. It aims to recreate the atmosphere of a home with books lining up the shelf on the second floor with comfy seats.
Some vintage cameras lined the shelf along with frames and some old books.
The second floor is perfect for mini gatherings either for huge family dining or for meetings.

The vibe at Tus is unpretentious and welcoming, and the food is comforting and put together in a way that suggests you’re eating at your home with grandmas’ cooking in some oddly satisfying and heartening way. We started off with their appetizers that satisfied my hunger right there and then.

The salad is an introductory teaser fulfilling enough given that there’s pork thrown into the mix.
Tasty Spinach Crunch chips sold for 160 PHP
The Spinach Crunch chips are handmade and organic. I wasn’t expecting the taste was really addicting.
Gambas Al Ajillo
Bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, garlic cream sauce. Served with homemade aioli. 468
Served hot and fresh, the BLT Calzone will make you crave for more. The crust is soft and filling is thick that having a half slice is enough to fill your tummy.

4 cheese and bacon potpie
I had the most humongous helping of this dish that everything is totally forgotten. I had little helpings with the other food served to us. I am not too strategic when it comes to food tasting and sometimes, I am really impulsive when I see something really delicious, I wouldn’t think twice of loading heaps of the stuff on my plate.

Half baked Cookies ((P160 )comes in flavors chocolate, ube and cookies, and cream served with ice cream.
As usual, I always loom forward with desserts as my finale. This half baked cookie is such a unique treat and the sweetness isn’t overwhelming.
