When you know the real meaning of contentment, you’I be able to appreciate little things around you, like this barren mountain. Cold, dead, lifeless. But if you look at it closely, you’ll be amazed at the breathtaking rock formation and how the mountains gave this slight pinkish color during sunset. This mountain is called Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah, just about an hour and a half drive from Dubai.
I have been craving for nature since I left the Philippines. Nature has always been the source of my positivity. I never had the opportunity to explore Dubai mainly because I was so busy trying to decide whether I should stay despite the difficulty of being away from my kids or just go back to my comfort zone, returning to my home country the Philippines. Luckily, I got a nice job that pays quite decemt for starters. I am really excited of what lies ahead. Being a late bloomer has its advantages. My freedom was stolen from me at an early age and now I am reclaiming it. When I was still with my ex husband, I never had the opprotunity to travel simply because you have a lot of priorities and responsibilities. Your main focus is to take care of your family, be a typical housewife and work my ass off to help out with expenses. Traveling never even crossed my mind. And now that I have gained back what I lost (which is my youth and my independence), I will make sure to visit places I havent been and allow myself to enjoy the amazing creations of God.
