The Spotlight movie gained a tremendous round of applause from the media and celebrities who were invited to the premier night held at the Gateway Cineplex last night. This is the kind of movie that will make your eyes open to what’s going on behind the mask of holiness of some priests. The story revolves around a small group of journalists who’s determined to uncover a pattern of sexual abuse of children by Roman Catholic priests in Massachusetts, and an ongoing cover-up by the Boston Archdiocese. After their thorough investigation, the story ended up on print and with a link leading to the documents that expose Cardinal Law, and a phone number requesting victims of pedophile priests to come forward.

So it all boils down to this, not all priests have halos. I wish we have these types of journalists here in our country who can uncover such controversies.
I enjoyed the movie so much plus the elbow rubbing with celebrities . Despite the fact that attending events can be pretty tiring, you wouldn’t really feel it because of how fun it gives you meeting new people and learning a thing or two from them.
Spotlight is now showing in all theaters nationwide.
